Grove Music Festival is proud to present Chamber Soloists of Detroit
featuring
Yehonatan Berick, violin
Arie Lipsky, cello
Pauline Martin, piano
Violinist Yehonatan Berick and pianist Pauline Martin return to the Grove Music Festival on April 14, 2013, this time with the multi-talented cellist Arie Lipsky, currently serving as Music Director and Conductor of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra.
They will be representing the newly founded Chamber Soloists of Detroit, brainchild of Artistic Director Pauline Martin, now celebrating the end of a blockbuster inaugural season.
According to CSD Artistic Director Pauline Martin, “CSD is about showcasing Michigan’s finest artists in collaboration with international guest artists.” Grove Music Festival is particularly thrilled that these three international artists, based here in Michigan, want to share their passion for chamber music with our festival audience.
The trio has a marvelous program in store! One of Beethoven’s most youthful and exuberant works, Trio, Opus 1, No. 1 in E-flat, is juxtaposed with Brahms’ sublime Trio, Opus 8 in B Major and selections from “Seasons” by Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla, best known for his charming Tango-inspired works.
