Another auspicious CSD debut is in store, featuring two of Michigan’s finest young artists. Currently serving as Concertmaster of the Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra, the versatile violinist Eliot Heaton has been cited for his “[poignancy]…and moving innocence” (Terra Haute Tribune Star). Nathaniel Pierce’s insightful performances have ignited an impressive career as both cellist and tenor soloist. Having explored the treasures of the piano trio repertoire with living legend, Menahem Pressler, Heaton and Pierce share musical “DNA” with pianist Pauline Martin. Together, they will perform Mozart’s Trio in B flat (K. 502) and Bedrich Smetana’s dramatic Trio, Op. 15 in g minor, with charming works by Astor Piazzolla and Sir Malcolm Arnold.
Complimentary light brunch, mimosas and coffee at 1:00 p.m. RSVP (586) 944-5353
