As part if its mission, Chamber soloists of Detroit is reaching out to Detroit-born artists with international careers. CSD’s first collaboration with flutist Eric Lamb features Faure’s Sonata in A and the ever-popular Carmen Fantasy, with CSD Artistic Director, pianist Pauline Martin. Mr Lamb will also perform Debussy’s Syrinx and the monumental JS Bach Toccata e Fuga BWV 565, as arranged by Salvatore Sciarrino, for solo flute.
Belonging to the generation of young international classical musicians who are defying definition, flutist Eric Lamb has made a name for himself as a chamber musician, soloist, recitalist and lecturer. He is a founding member of ‘ensemble paladino’ based in Vienna, Austria (where he currently resides) and is in demand internationally as a soloist, recitalist, concert curator and chamber musician. Mr. Lamb completed studies at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in the class of Michel Debost. He holds both a Diploma of Orchestral Performance and a Soloist’s Diploma – Germany’s highest and most prestigious music degree – from the Hochschule für Musik Frankfurt am Main.
