Chamber Soloists of Detroit audiences have come to expect nothing less than breathtakingly beautiful performances of string quartet masterworks by the Ehnes Quartet: violinists James Ehnes and Amy Schwartz Moretti, violist Che-Yen Chen and cellist Edward Arron. We are thrilled to introduce their esteemed colleague, violist Jonathan Vinocour, who will join them for this intimate performance of String Quintets (Double Viola) nos. 1 and 2 by Johannes Brahms.

Chamber Soloists of Detroit joins the Fair Lane Music Guild in honoring long-time benefactor Cecilia Benner with a exclusive performance reuniting acclaimed violinist Amy Schwartz Moretti with pianist Pauline Martin, whose solo recital in September reawakened the immaculately restored one-of-a-kind Steinway grand piano, gifted to Clara by Henry a century ago.
Bask in the exquisite sights, sounds and champagne-accompanied epicurean delights of Clara’s beloved Music Room, with an intimate concert of chamber music curated by friends, for friends, as it was meant to be performed.
Your attendance at this special event will benefit the Fair Lane Music Guild, founded 55 years ago by the late Ray Benner.
Welcome to Chamber Soloists of Detroit
Chamber Soloists of Detroit has proudly created a tradition of presenting the area’s finest virtuosi in collaboration with emerging and renowned guest artists. Its vigorous pursuit of international outreach and touring opportunities enhances Detroit’s global image as a cultural leader.
Founded in 2012 by artistic director, pianist Pauline Martin, Chamber Soloists of Detroit was launched with the blessing of her teacher and mentor, pianist Menahem Pressler, whose unforgettable performance ushered in an auspicious opening season. CSD has since been greeted with warm enthusiasm by audiences in Canada and Europe, leading to its celebratory 10th anniversary debut performance at the famed Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in 2022.
As schedules will allow, Chamber Soloists of Detroit artists are also pleased to accept invitations to perform at venues throughout Michigan and beyond.
