2026-2027 Season

We have important news to share as we look forward to another season of inspiring chamber music at The Hawk in Farmington Hills.

Visitors to the Hawk Theatre website can expect a new stream-lined ticket purchasing experience, with a page specific to theatre presentations only. This will NOT affect your ability to purchase a CSD 4-concert Subscription. Should you encounter any issues during this transitional period, please email the box office at boxoffice@fhgov.com.

Why Subscribe Now?

While all 4 concerts will take place at The Hawk, please note that our Thursday, Nov. 12 concert featuring the Ehnes Quartet & Jonathan Vinocour will be held in the Media Center on the 3rd floor of the building. Due to limited seating, preferred seating for this concert will be offered to season subscribers on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Hawk discount: 4 concerts for $75, Single tickets at the door $30, advance purchase $25. Please note service fees apply.

Violinist Kerson Leong and Pianist Pauline Martin

“With a rich, magical sound … the violinist from Ottawa all but hypnotized the audience” (Le Devoir).  Experience firsthand the “miracle of feeling and control” (Sunday Times), as Kerson Leong returns to join CSD pianist Pauline Martin in a beautiful program of Sonatas for violin and piano by Mozart, Beethoven and Fauré, and Maurice Ravel’s fiery “Tzigane.”

Sonata No. 32 in B flat, K. 454 –  W. A. Mozart  (1756-1791)
Sonata No. 5 , Op. 24 (“Spring”) – L. van Beethoven (1770-1827)
Sonata No. 1 Op. 13 – Gabriel Fauré (1845-1924)

Chamber Soloists of Detroit audiences have come to expect nothing less than breathtaking performances of string quartet masterworks by the Ehnes Quartet: violinists James Ehnes and Amy Schwartz Moretti, violist Che-Yen Chen and cellist Edward Arron. We are thrilled to introduce their esteemed colleague, violist Jonathan Vinocour, who will join them for this intimate performance of String Quintets (Double Viola) nos. 1 and 2 by Johannes Brahms.

String Quintet No. 2 in G Major, Op. 111     Johannes Brahms (1833-1897)

A delightful and varied program is in store, whenever Detroit’s finest take the stage!  Join us for an afternoon of musical conversation between friends with DSO principals – Alex Kinmonth (oboe), Ralph Skiano (clarinet), Conrad Cornelison (bassoon), Edmund Rollett (French horn) and Monica Fosnaugh (English horn) – and pianist Pauline Martin.  Featuring Beethoven’s masterpiece, the Quintet for Piano and Winds and selections by the late Elaine Lebenbom, the first woman composer to earn a degree from the University of Michigan.
